A graduate from the University of Nebraska, Omaha, Khalid Al Zarooni has since been actively associated with various companies, both as an owner and a senior executive.  He has been instrumental in the formation of Dubai Sports City and has played a pivotal role in moving the project forward to its current stage.He has been recently appointed as Board Member of the Emirates Cricket Board.

Khalid brings with him extensive knowledge of the local and international market from a community development perspective. He is an avid Moto GP fan and is an avid racer of cars and bikes.

Mr. Khalid Al Zarooni is also a Director of the Al Zarooni Group of Companies.  This Group was founded in the early sixties and has since diversified in size and stature across various segments of the Emirate's business world.  The Group has been pioneers in businesses including Real Estate, Construction, Retail (including Mall ownership and Management), Industrial related materials and components, on a local, regional and international level, in addition to endeavours in foodstuffs, industrial plastics and garments. In construction the Group is one of the largest construction companies within the Emirate of Dubai and is also well known for its golf course residential communities built in the United States, that have received numerous "Best Community" awards. The Group is widely recognised as a major player in the Retail Sector by way of its ownership of innovative and landmark shopping malls in premier locations in Dubai and internationally.
